Fort William (Via Kinlochleven) Empty 9th April 2011

Post by G-force Fri 15 Apr - 16:09

Saturday 9th April- Roy, John and myself did the full 250 miles. Weather conditions were perfect and roads were in reasonable condition. sunny
Roy & me stopped at the Green Welly where we met John, headed over Rannoch moor to Glencoe village. Refuelled and had a burger from the van at the garage. Then onto the fun filled twisty loop round Loch Leven (There is a good big lay-by on the left on the far side of the loch to stop and reflect!) The 1st half takes you up over the hill then back down into Kinlochleven (best behavior in the village!). The second half has tighter bends with dips and peaks, a couple of which will have you off the ground if you wind it on a bit! Twisted Evil
Another refreshment stop at Morrisons, Ft. William, then down the coast to Oban (fuel). This is also a good varied stretch of road.
Homeward bound took us through Lochawe, then turning right to Inveraray. After a brief break we headed straight home.
All in all a great days biking. Very Happy
