Starting to look into planning the Rally this year...

All input welcome...

Over the next few weeks I'll be looking at possible destinations, venues, rides, activities etc.
If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations we can consider, post up details here.

Otherwise, I'll pick!

It's usually a good weekend, middle of the year so hopefully we don't get too wet! And on a minimal budget.
All you need is the Friday off work for a decent cheap biking weekend away.

General itinerary consists of...
Friday - Travel to site
Friday night - Settle in (Food and Bevvy)
Saturday - Ride out on pre planned route with lunch stop.
Saturday Night - Food and Bevvy! (Maybe local entertainment)
Sunday - Sober up and head home.
Simple!

Not sure this year!!

Could we do up north again, but the midgies are bloody murder!!

Go east? and see what we can find?

Go south, Lake district? Wales?

Or Ireland again!! Did like that trip!!

There's 3 other rallies down south I'll be going to.
The Lake District is really busy. I wouldn't recommend it.
Wales could be a good shout..

Personally, I'm keen to go north again. Lochinver, Helmsdale, maybe Skye?

Accommodation wise, I'm thinking somewhere with a roof and a real bed. I'll be doing enough camping this year!!

Sounds good thumper, roads are good down that way! defo worth a look into. maybe find a big static caravan or cabin type that would sleep us all, help keep the costs down?

Time's getting on... Better think about actually booking something while they still have vacancies!

I looked in static caravans and a 6 berth would be £215 for the weekend. If we have 6 going that's a cheap weekend!

Certainly a possibilty..
Anyone else got any ideas?
Could really do with numbers of people actually interested in going so we can make a booking..
C'mon folks... you know you want to!  Very Happy

Right for anyone that actually reads this and wants to join us??? The Plan!!
Friday ride to Oban, stay over at Roseview Caravan park
Saturday ride out to Applecross, over the Bealach Na Ba, stay in Campsite.
Sunday ride back to Oban and stay again at Roseview caravan park.
Monday ride home.

Cheers
