Fitting HID to Honda ST1300 Empty Fitting HID to Honda ST1300

Hi All,
Anyone in here have any information they can share on fitting HID lights to an Honda ST1300 Pan, Had a wee look at it today and struggling to get into all the connections. Do I need to strip the full side panel off to do this or is there an easier way?

Cheers

Have you had any joy with this yet? Would be good if you could give us a 'how to' once you're done..?
I'm not sure about the legality of having HIDs on a Pan. Does it have projector style lights?

It seems to be an awkward affair getting into the bulbs but can be done with the fairing on. Most people either reach in from the bottom and undo the wiring plug, (Horizontal Clips), then remove the rubber bung and undo the bulb holder (Basket) to release the bulb. You can also gain access from the top and maybe even catch a glimpse of what you're aiming for.
Once you swap the bulbs for your HIDs(These should just be a simple plug n play) the next challenge will be where to mount the ballasts!

Let us know how you get on...
Before and after pics would be good too?

When did you get the Pan anyway?! Got any photos? Have you got rid of the Diversion then?

Fitted the HID bulbs, pretty straight forward. Took the side off panel off (once all the bolts are located) and that made it easier to get into the bulbs.

Put the Ballast under the plastic cover in the wheel arch, they fitted in quite well. Ran the cable to battery under the tank. All neat and tidy. Not as big a job as I was expecting.

Spot the difference!!!
