NORIYUKI HAGA has taken his first laps on the Swan Yamaha R1 he will compete in British Superbike championship at Cartagena in Spain.

The popular Japanese rider is with reigning BSB champion Tommy Hill, undergoing their initial shakedown test.

Testing at the Spanish circuit over the next three days will not only be Haga's highly anticipated debut on the Swan Yamaha, but will mark the team's first run with the R1 built to the new rules for 2012, that includes a ban on traction control and a series spec ECU
