St Marys Loch Empty Re: St Marys Loch

Post by G-force Wed 9 Mar - 5:10

Sampled this route on Sunday 6th March with Royster.
Although cold, and with poor road conditions, (potholes/grit/mud etc), it was a good ride.
We headed up the M8 to J6, down A73 to Carluke then turned left for Peebles.
Stopped at the Tatler cafe on Peebles High St. for coffee/hot chocolate & cake. Met up with a few workmates here.
Then onto St. Marys loch Stopping at the Glen Cafe & Bistro. Didn't eat here just stopped for a blether and toilet!
Then went further on to Moffat for lunch at the Coachman Bar beside the Buccleuch Arms Hotel.

Returned via M74 for quickness.

Better weather and road conditions and this would be a good run.
